Lake Carroll is a planned year round resort community. It is located about 2 1/2 hours Northwest of Chicago. Located in Carroll county it is in the part of Illinois where the flat land ceases and the rolling hills begin and slope to enter the Mississippi river valley. Close to Galena Illinois, Savanna Illinois, and Clinton Iowa it is situated along the Mississippi river valley. It is easy to get here but once you're here it is very hard to leave.
